Hi... my left eyelid has started twitching recently. Having turned 33, I have been experiencing relatively high levels of career and significant-other related stress; so of course I was told that the blepharospasm was not only normal but pretty much expected. And though it is true that sometimes I can literally trigger the twitching just by thinking about something that stresses me (relationship-related thoughts infallibly trigger the twitching, almost like a switch)... what worries me is that sneezing also triggers it. I lack the medical knowledge to see the connection between the sneezing mechanism and stimulation of the right basal ganglion — I thought of an aneurysm as a possible cause, with sneezing causing a momentary spike in cerebral blood pressure; however, that would also mean I'd experience sustained twitching when, say, bending down to pick up my daughter or when I go jogging/swimming, due to the increase in blood pressure. This does not happen, so it's basically just: I think of my girlfriend or my pending college application, my left eye twitches for a few seconds and then stops. I sneeze, and the same thing happens. It's like clockwork.
