Suggest Remedy For Tooth Ache With Vomiting

My 3 year old son has been complaining of toothache since yesterday. This evening he got a fever. Fell asleep for about 2 hours. When he woke up I gave him some bite sized apples from the fridge. About 15-20 minutes later (as i was about to give him Tylenol) he threw up. Then went right back to sleep. What should I do?

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain toothache along with fever and vomiting can be related in case if the toothache is associated with abscess formation leading to pus discharge which can be swallowed accidentally by the kid causing septicemia which can lead to bacterial infection in stomach and it can cause fever and vomiting..

On the other hand fever and vomiting can also be due to viral infection and is not associated with the teeth..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get evaluated and in case if there is tooth abscess there are chances that the infection can be bacterial in nature and once the antibiotics and painkiller which has fever reducing action also like tylenol will be given he will be relieved of fever and stomach infection too..

But in case it is not bacterial and viral infection is the cause antibiotics for toothache and tylenol for fever and toothache both can be relieving..

By the time you consult a dentist you can give him tylenol for relief from pain and fever reduction..

Hope this information helps..
