Suggest Remedy For Tingling And Panic Attacks

Hello, I am a 35 year old male - 6 feet 80 kgs. I smoke between 5-8 cigerettes per day since last 15 years. 5 years back, my mother expired suddenly leaving a deep impact on me. post that for continuously about 15 days, I had blackouts and had to be rushed to hospital where post ECG, doctors stated that this was due to trauma. about 15 days later I resumed office. 1 year down the line, i was returning home from office when I felt strong urge to urinate, I did. 5 minutes of driving, I felt tingling in my hands, face and feet and again a strong urge for urination. I did urinate again. this continued for next 2-3 times and by the time I reached home, my body started shaking badly. I rushed to a nearby clininc and while I stood in front of doctor, my tongue had started to twist, my fist would not open even as i tried my best. The doctor gave me an injection and within 5 minutes, I was fine. He told me that this was panic attack . He gave me cergo MD 0.5 as SOS. Post that day, for the next 6 months, I had the tingling and anxiety everyday and I consulted almost every known doctor.. all attributed this to my anxiety. As the time passed, the events of anxiety started to fade but now after about 6-8 months, I went to a doctor who is renowned of getting total rid of anxienty. He prescribed me Xet CR12.5 (once daily for 4 days & twice daily for 3 days). As I started taking this medication, but since that day I have been again facing Panic attacks on a daily basis. I am now really worried; is this a reversal process or a day will come when I shall get rid of these horrific incidents. I am losing my self confidence even to drive my car which was a passion before these attacks. Please help.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Definitely this is not a reversal process. The new panic attack episodes started because you are being obsessive. You should understand that panic attacks are due to the underlying anxiety and that anxiety is to be treated. In your case, the anxiety could be the trauma you faced with your mother's death. You were already adjusted with the anxiety but you did not agree and visited another doctor. then you yourself had doubt about your relief and then it got obsessive. The new doctor could also have given you some tips with which your anxiety was reborn.

That happens and do not worry. You continue the new treatment and you should be alright. Please also consult a psychologist for psychotherapy.

Good luck.
