Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI I am six weeks into a full knee replacement my knee is still swollen and find it hard to straighten but worse for me at the moment is a rash that has developed on my buttocks back thighs inner arms and today on my foot.I stopped all medication a week ago and have been prescribed antihistamine but it seems to be getting worse it is very itchy and keeps me awake thanks
Dear patient Are you on any medication post knee surgery? I think since its six weeks all medication would have been stopped. So this condition is unrelated to your surgery. You need to consult dermatologist asap. Apply BETADERM G locally on rash sites and continue to take antihistamines.
