Suggest Remedy For Stiffness And Pain In Neck, Head And Back

I woke up a few mornings ago with severe neck pain and stiffness but it also affected my back to the point where I had to turn my entire body around rather than just my neck. It has been impossible to sleep because my neck and head now hurts to the fact where I haven t been able to turn them without severe pain. Also when I put my head on the pillow at night, it hurts even then and I cannot find a comfortable spot to sleep in. I have tried Aleve but that doesn t help at all. The back pain is now gone but the neck and head pain is still bad.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Please get your X-ray of cervical spine done. It is possibly due to cervical spondylitis. See a spinal surgeon to help you for exact diagnosis after physical examination, specific advice for managing your problem. Injectable anti inflammatory drug would star relieving inflammation along with complete rest, ice or hot pack followed by physiotherapy after some relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
