Suggest Remedy For Soreness Inside The Tongue

I have a hard sore inside tongue towards the front just to my left part of the tongue. I noticed it today. It is very sore. I feel like if I could get to it with a needle, i could draw puss or blod out of it tomreduce the soreness and sise. Is it dangerous. Shd imsee a doctor now?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query .The symptoms you describe in query are clea indication of canker sore of tongue.The probable causes of canker sore are stress(very common),injury to the tissue due to bite or any dental appliances,citrus or acidic fruits ,viral infection (herpes simplex) and deficiency of folic acid and vitamin B 12.

Usually canker sores go away by there own in few days ,But if they become painful ,large and puss coming out of then.I would suggest you to visit dentist ,who may prescribe you topical or oral(acyclovir) antiviral medication and vitamin B12 and folic acid supplements .

For now what you can do is avoid acidic or citrus fruits,take oover the counter painkillers like paracetamol or ibuprofen( if you are not allergic to it )and apply lidocain gel or clove oil to the sore for pain relief .
