Suggest Remedy For Soreness In Ear
My son has redness and pus (or some kinda clear liquid) behind his ear. It also looks raw and it has an odor to it. Is there something that I can buy for him til we go to the doctor. He just had his well child appointment, they looked in his ears and there is no infection. By the way i didn t notice it wil today. please help.

The symptoms seem to be related to mastoiditis. Mastoiditis is a serious infection in the mastoid process, which is the hard, prominent bone just behind and under the ear. Symptoms of mastoiditis include swelling behind the ear, pus coming out of the ear and pain. I suggest giving your son Tylenol for the pain. I also suggest to see an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
