Suggest Remedy For Severe Itching In Scrotal Area

Had an itch begin in scrotum area this morning....progressively got worse. When I got home, I washed area and applied Benadryl and lotion....only itched more. Sack is now three times normal.....no pain....just swollen. Applied ice....has helped stop itching. Second time this has happened in last three months....has also appeared on arch of the foot with swollen red areas and both arms near armpit.....intense itching.....usually gone next day. Any ideas .

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe itching in scrotal area. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction, improper hygiene, rosacea , side effect of certain medicine , impetigo and hormonal changes. Need not to worry much. I would suggest you to avoid any kind of cosmetic product , apply only petroleum jelly and take benadryl twice a day . You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order allergy test, skin patch test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may order anti bacterial , corticosteroid ointment and anti fungal . Apply cold compresses to reduce redness and itchiness .
