Suggest Remedy For Severe Constipation In Toddler

My 2 1/2 year old baby girl is having severe constipation problem. I tried giving fruits and other fiber food. It didn t help much. I consulted with doctor. Doctor checked on her back hole and said it is habitual constipation and gave medicine for one month. she was fine while taking medicine. After stopping medicine again she is constipated. Being a kid, I find it difficult to do diet control for her all the days (like avoiding milk and biscuits and snacks). Please advice. Will there be any other intestine and colon problem for her. Do I need to do tests related to that.
