Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey so I have had nosebleeds like every day the past week sometimes 2 a day and I am almost 3 days late on my period .I definally not pregnant and the doctors said I would eventually grow out of nosebleeds but yet I steal get them getting worried..... Help please
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain nose bleeds can occur due to local causes like any traumatic injury to nose, ruptured blood vessel and many a times not due to any known cause.. It does not seems related to delayed periods.. I would suggest you to wait and watch for a few days but in case if the frequency of nose bleeds increases or there is increase in amount of blood you should consult an Otolaryngologist and he can advise you to get nasal endoscopy done along with investigations like Bleeding and clotting time, complete blood picture, hemoglobin %,prothrombin time etc to rule out for possible causes of nose bleeds and treatment of the underlying cause if present will help in resolution.
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
