Suggest Remedy For Rashes On The Cheeks In Children

My 6 year old grandson has developed a rash with redness and some blistering on his cheeks, noticed yesterday afternoon when coming home from school. Got better overnight, now school called as he was in the nurses office with worsening and burning. He has been complaining to his stomach for about 3 days off and on. Eats good and has bowel movements not, loose or runny. He has not been on any medication and no fever. I am leaving shortly to pick him up from school.

As per your query you have symptoms of rashes on the cheeks. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to allergic reaction due to detergent, soap , fragrance , chemical, metal, an animal bite, or an insect sting, it could be due to infection of hair follicle leading to folliculitis. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline short . For now take benadryl twice a day , apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product. Avoid touching or picking rash. Maintain complete hygiene.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
