Hi, I have a rash on the top of my left buttock. Its red, raised bumps that hurt for the first day or two then itches until it is gone ( about a week to ten days). It has been coming back for about seven years. I think it started with a spider bite. Is this possible?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due fungal infectiontinea corporis. If you send a picture then it will be more helpful in identifying. If you were my patient with such condition then i would advise ointment with combination of anti fungal like miconazole , antibacterial like neomycin and corticosteroid like beclomethasone for local application. A visual examination with a dermatologist or GP is well appreciated. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
