Suggest Remedy For Persistent Diarrhea With Fecal Incontinence

I ve had diarrhea off and on for 2 weeks-- about every 2-3 days. My abdomen would feel queasy but not nauseous. No cramps. A small amount of liquid feces would ooze out without warning and no ability to control. Tonight after eating, without warning a great deal of liquid feces came gushing out of me. I have not been eating any differently in the last two weeks. I stopped eating any fruit a week ago, and have been drinking only water. I eat mostly meat and vegetables - no gluten, dairy, soy, corn or beans. Is this something that will probably quit or something to be concerned about?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query persistent diarrhea with fecal incontinence seems to be due to infection caused by giardia lamblia. Need not to worry much. Visit ENT specialist once and get culture and stool sensitivity test done to know exact cause and start treatment accordingly. Drink plenty of water and avoid intake of outside food. Do pelvic floor exercises for sometime.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry
