Suggest Treatment For Fecal Incontinence

hey! I want to ask a question about fecal incontinence.I read that fecal incontinence can lead to loss of liquid stool elements .by liguid stool elements they mean diarrhea or something else??..because i think I have an anal leakage problem and i want to distinguish between stool liguid and other types of liguid. so,i think i have anal leakage because i can feel my anus area wet and stinky..for a few months sometimes my underwear got stained by this but i think it was clear water and after a little time the stain would go away..Sometimes lately i think i have a problem controlling my farts and when i postpone my bowel movement for some hour i can feel my butt area getting wet. it could be just sweating or caused by poor hygiene but i m concerned.last night even if i cleaned the area with water the lekage it didn t go away well i have a background with Pilonidal cyst and an abscess (the abscess it wasn s serious, it was cured with antibiotics).for the last weeks i have been defecating very constipated stools and as i result once i saw little pink blood in the wipe.i also feel itching and slight pain in my right buttock. i would appreciate if you could tell me what you think about this leakage i m 19 years old heterosexual male and i have anxiety disorder . for about 9 months ago i have been examined by a doctor (just a simple digital rectal examination) and she told me that i didn t have a problem .

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You should see a surgeon and be examined for fecal incontinence and undergo physiological tests in addition to a sigmoidoscopy. It doesn't sound dangerous, but there are certainly ways to help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen,
General Surgeon
