Suggest Remedy For Pain In Legs After Eating Lentils

Hi, i have a daughter she is 2&6 years old. when ever she eats lentin or beans she feels pain in her leg and she keeps crying at night. I asked some relatives and they told me my daughter probably has G6PD. If that is true what is the cure for that?

G6PD problem leads to other issues like anemia and jaundice after eating fava beans - that too only in some cases. Eating other lentils does not cause any problems in G6PD child. The leg pains are definitely not due to G6PD. As to what they are due to ... you will need to see a doctor and run some tests on her, including blood calcium and phosphate, blood counts and X rays if indicated by the doctor. Treatment will depend on what the cause is.

Some children get leg pains due to no other reason than the fact that they get tired after running around the whole day. These are often referred to as growing pains. They need no specific treatment other than iron supplements in the form of iron syrups.
