Suggest Remedy For Pain In Collar Bone

My collar bone as been hurting for about a week and a few days. It started to hurt when I was in the middle of swimming for swim practice. It still hurts and has seemed to get worse. I was coloring and typing and it started to hurt badly. Do you know what s wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern.
since the pain in the collar bone (clavicle)has started after swimming, this mostly might be due to any injury while swimming.
injuries even fractures to collar bone usually heal on its own within two to three weeks.
they do not require much of intervention.
i would advise an anti inflammatory drug like aceclofenac 200mg twice daily for five days for quick recovery.
kindly apply warm compresses over the area.
local application of diclofenac gel or spray would be helful.
kindly restrict the movements for a few days.
hope you are satisfied with the response.
thanks for choosing HCM.
feel free to get back for further queries.
