General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having infantile umbilcal hernia producing pain and bulging after crying.
Gradually this will be alright with strengthening of abdominal muscles.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
If he thinks proper to put some coin on umbilicus covering with adhesive tap for some time.
This might correct umbilical hernia.
Ok and take care.
