hi I had a ectopic pregnancy a year ago and had to have both fallopian tubes removed.. ever since having this done I have had stabbing pains in that area..the pain is worse 2 weeks prior to period until period stops.. the pain is very bad..and sensitive to the touch. I don't know if this is normal. what could this be?

Hi, I understand your query. Removal of fallopian tubes/lumpectomy are known to cause painful menstruation. You can take uterine muscle relaxants ( epidosyn ) to combat the pain. Alternatively replacement of hormones to correct the menstrual cycle can be thought after detailed history/examination. Consult a gynecologist. Thanks
