Hi,

Post-operative nausea is a common side effect of anesthesia and surgery. In addition, the use of antibiotics and other medications can also contribute to nausea and vomiting.

Here are some remedies that can help alleviate nausea and promote comfort:
* Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of fluids can help prevent dehydration and ease nausea. Sipping small amounts of water or clear fluids, such as ginger ale, peppermint tea, or electrolyte drinks, can help settle the stomach.
* Eat light, bland foods: Eating light, bland foods such as crackers, toast, or broth-based soups can help calm the stomach. Avoid spicy or heavy meals that can trigger nausea.
* Rest and relax: Encourage your mother to rest and avoid strenuous activity to help her body heal. Listening to soothing music, guided meditation, or other relaxation techniques can also help to ease nausea and promote relaxation.
* Use ginger: Ginger is a natural anti-nausea remedy that is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting. It can be taken in various forms, such as ginger tea, ginger ale, or ginger supplements.
* Use acupressure: Applying pressure to specific points on the body, such as the wrist or the area between the thumb and index finger, has been shown to help alleviate nausea. Special wristbands or bracelets are available that can apply pressure to these points.
* Take medications as prescribed: If nausea is severe, prescription medications such as Zofran may be prescribed.

The healthcare team can provide additional recommendations for managing her symptoms and ensure she is receiving appropriate care for her condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
