I ve been battling a cold and that included a scratchy throat. Yesterday it was practically gone. Suddenly today it returned, but now it feels more like the muscles around my Adam s apple are strained or bruised. It hurts to touch and swallow. I feel fine otherwise,no aches or fever.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have irritation in throart, scratchy throat which is due to upper respiratory tract infection/sorethroat. I would suggest you to take throat lozenges and do warm saline gargles. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin for 5 days. You should start with antiallergic medication such as Levicetrizine. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get throat swab test and blood test done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Avoid oily and sharp food.
