Suggest Remedy For High Blood Pressure In Elderly

Hello, My mother-in-law has always had an elavted BP. In her 40s it used to be in the range of 140-160. Now at 63 yrs it is 180/120. She has a family history of heart attacks & high cholestrol. Recently all her blood tests came out normal other than a high cholestrol of 270. EVen at the elevated BP, she says she can function well without palpitations, sweating, breathlessnessetc. She has mild insomnia & sleps only about 6 hrs daily. She takes long evening walks daily & her diet is healthy. What should be the next step?

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

This level of pressure needs early treatment
See an Internist / get her examined / investigation are generally necessary...
Blood Pressure is a silent killer – targets the heart, eyes, brain and kidney
Absence of symptom or normal functioning does not guarantee anything

So also is her cholesterol -

Take care
Good luck
