Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough

Hello Doctor, I am S V reddy. I am 24 y old and 63 kg weight. I am suffering from dry cough. I consulted doctor and he told me I am affected with pneumonia and he is suspecting TB also.He prescribed the following medicine:1.Forecox 2.Proloc-DSR 3.Monlevo 4.Macpod CV 200 5.Vitamins with Amino acids and minerals(Fourtis).I have used for 4 days and still i am suffering. Am i using right course?please advise.

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are not counselled properly.
See, tuberculosis is chronic lung infection.
Treatment for tuberculosis lasts for at least 6-8 months.
So you can not expect clinical improvement (decrease cough) in just 4 days of treatment.
Usually, clinical improvement starts after 1 month of anti tubercular treatment.
So in my opinion, you should consult pulmonologist and discuss about tuberculosis, it's treatment, improvement duration etc.
With proper treatment of 6-8 months, tuberculosis will definitely treated.
