Suggest Remedy For Dizziness After Being On Long Flight

I am 62 and for the first time I experienced dizziness for almost a week after a 7 hour flight. After flying home at the end of the week I again experienced dizziness for three days. I take clarinex and lipitor but am in good health. I am 5'1, weigh about 118 and have never had surgery or any major illness

Hello,

Dizziness may be due to many causes. If it is flight induced dizziness, raised middle ear pressure only during motion and landing of flight, then it may be due:

1. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
2. Vestibular neuronitis
3. Acute labyrinthitis
4. Eustachian tube blockade
5. Cardiac problem
6. Stroke et cetera

Use tablet Diligon twice a day for five days. If not improved, please consult your physician/ENT specialist, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
