I think I have conjunctivits. I ve done some research. I believe it was caused by a cold that I have had for a week now. I have a cough, nasal congestion, headaches. Is it true that this type of conjunctivitis cannot be treated? And the cold just has to run its course?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having conjunctivitis with cold. This indicates viral conjunctivitis. Viral conjunctivitis are usually self limiting and antivirals are not used for treatment. However antibiotic eye drops and decongestant eye drops are used to prevent secondary infection and to provide symptomatic relief. Along with this anti cold drugs are required for treatment of cold.
Thank you
