I m a 19-year old female, I got my period when I was 12. I think I ve been on birth control for about 4 years but I m not positive; I was originally put on it for my acne. I ve been having vaginal discharge for several years now, though I can t remember if it started before I began taking the birth control or not. In the last year ours become quite a nuisance. When I wipe it appears as a clear to yellowish tint and when it dries in my underwear it turns yellow and has a creamy consistency. It has an unpleasant odor that I would describe as somewhat sour. I have it EVERYDAY all day long and I feel like it s kind of taking over my life. I know some discharge is normal but every day? I m wet down there all the time, and sometimes I can even smell myself which has been trying embarrassing (I hope no one else has ever noticed). I m a very clean person, and I ve never douched (I ve heard that was bad). I ve had a yeast test which came back negative and my Dr has even tried putting me on a lower dose birth control pill thinking that maybe my hormones were too high. I just recently had sex last week for the first time so I know it hasn t been an STD this whole time. Please help me think of something.
