Suggest Remedy For Chills, Night Sweats, Headache And Loss Of Appetite

Hello, our daughter has been traveling for three months now and has experienced the following symptoms the past week (note that she was in south east Asia a month ago) : chills, night sweats, headache, some loss of appetite, and some weakness, as well as difficulty sleeping (though that might be due to the other symptoms and not a symptom itself). When she takes ibuprofen she feels better, at least good enough to go site-seeing. Thank you.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of chills, night sweats, headache and loss of appetite, well symptoms you mention in query seems to be due to viral pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood tests to find out exact cause of infection. Doctor may prescribe antiviral drugs acyclovir or antibacterial amoxicillin depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant and expectorant . For now do warm saline gargles and take steam thrice a day . Avoid taking spicy and sharp food. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
