I HAD A CHEST C.T AND HAVE SMALL SHOTTY MEDIASTINAL NODES. AND I HAVE MILD INTERSTIAL PROMINENCE IN THE SUBPLEURAL LUNG BASES. THE IMPRESSION STATES SUBTLE PATCHY INTERSTITIAL PROMINENCE IN A PERIPHERAL BASILAR BILATERAL DISTRIBUTION IS NOTED. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Thanks for your question on HCM. I want to ask few questions
1. Your age and gender
2. Are you smoker.
3. Are you having any symptoms.
If you are asymptomatic than no need to worry as this can be normal finding in old age.
And if you have fever with cough than you should start antibiotics and antihistamines.
If you are smoker, better to quit smoking as early as possible.
