I have a large bruise on the inside of my right ankle. I have seen a doctor about it and during the course of treatment was found to have micro tears throughout one of my tendons in the ankle. I was put into a cast to try and help but the pain is still there. Now the doctor has requested that I have a nerve test done due to the tendon being so close to the tendon. I have asked about surgery to fix the problem but the doctor will not discuss the possiblity of that to correct the problem. I know that I am not a doctor but do not know if I am getting the run around or if this is a normal thing for ankle problems? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
