General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Dry mouth is a known complication with tramadol and in its place you can use OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with antacids like omerperazole. If pain is severe more potent analgesic like gabapentin can also be used. Local capciasin gels around the knee can also be helpful.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
