Suggest Remedies For Recurring Bouts Of Chronic Cough

My husband gets a chronic cough every winter that lasts several months. It isn t contagious, but he s coughing an hour straight every night when he goes to sleep. He s had his current cough 2 to 3 weeks. Should he continue taking cough medicine each night or go to a doctor?

I will advise you to consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis.......
After sputum culture test than start antibiotics course under doctor's suggestion....
Do a complete blood cell count and microscopic examination....

Do a chest x ray to check any lesion on lung present or not...
Tuberculosis or pneumonia lesion can detect in chest x ray...
You have long time history of cough present so..

Mention a color and duration of cough that help in diagnosis...
Consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis..
