Suggest Remedies For Profuse Sweating And Nausea When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia

I haven t felt good for about 3 weeks now. I am sweating non stop, losing my balance very easily, more nausea than normal and very very tired all the time. I have been sleeping about 3 days out of 7 weekly. I have fibromyalgia, went to that doctor today, thinking it may be the medication they changed me to a few months ago. He told me it was not due to my medication through him, follow up with my family doctor. Any clues?

Hello,

1. If the diagnosis is made by a specialist, [Rheumatologist], even then consider the second opinion [ to exclude complex regional pain syndrome, CFS, ME] for available options and conservative management.

PS. the immune marker will help establish prognosis and available options for the disease, thus are worth pursuing.

2. because there is no identifiable cause thus treatment is symptomatic, as a result, both pharmacological and nonpharmacological measures are used as an adjuvant to get good control of pain and extended the symptom-free period, such as:

Relaxation and stress management [stress is trigger response to fibromyalgia symptoms], thus yoga & Pranayama are helpful.

Physiotherapy: wax massage, ultrasound/infrared technique to minimize pain.

Diet rich in omega 3 is considered helpful in alleviating fibromyalgia symptoms.

Sleep. Getting plenty of sleep is key to managing the symptoms of both syndromes, so it is important that they maintain good sleep habits and avoid caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy [CBT]: it teaches people how to recognize symptoms and self-treat using a variety of strategies such as relaxation therapy, cognitive pain management, and rest.

2. sweating could be due to autonomic nervous system disturbance, a side effects of antidepressants, and/or overlapping associated anxiety of the disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
