Suggest Remedies For Persistent Cough And Cramps In Left Chest Area

I have a persistent cough usually it doesn t produce anything but is a tickle and when I cough it is a deep cough into my chest at least sometimes. This has been going on for about a month. Also, I have what I have been calling a cramp in my left chest area about 4 or 5 in the last month including last night they are sharp but the one last night hasn t completely gone away. I didn t know if they are related or if I need to get checked it seems a lot of times they just throw antibiotics at the cough and feels like a wasted visit sometimes they work others not so much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
don't worry it will be alright, but explain the symptoms in complete for better understanding, now it seems like u can have a cough syrup expectorant for at least 2 weeks, take bath every day with lukewarm water, also take ranitidine 150 mg twice a day for 10 days, this will do.. and in case it produces fever in between treatment above 101° C then go for a routine blood , urine , sputum and also a chest x-ray will help
