Suggest Remedies For Painful Uvula And Difficulty In Swallowing
I was using a whipped cream canister and n2o ended up spraying into the back of my throat icing the entire roof of my mouth and my uvula. I'm pretty sure I got some kind of freezer burn because I could taste the ice flakes when it happened. My uvula has been hurting for the last 2 days and swallowing hurts. What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of painful uvula and difficulty in swallowing which seems to be due to uvulitis and ulcer on uvula.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Do warm saline gargles.
- Take a soft diet and avoid sharp and fried food.
If symptoms keeps on persisting you should consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out other causes. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin for at least for 10 days along with anti inflammatory medications .
