Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

I guess he doesn't have fever and vomiting. Tight stools will cause excoriation and ulceration of rectal / anal mucosa causing blood streaking in stool. In such cases, I used to give bisacodyl 5mg suppository once or twice to my patients to de-load the rectum. Oral laxatives are given when the issue recur. Kindly discuss with your doctor. Meanwhile, giving fruit juices will help constipation to some extent.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
