Suggest Medicine For Red And Swollen Throat

I ve had a sore throat in the beginning 7 weeks ago I lost my voice been on 2 different Antibiotics plus a steroid coarse. I just went than ENT he said the throat is red and swollen. He feels it might be from acid reflux. I m growing more concerned as time is going by . My question is what type of doc should I go to next I don t want to wait another month to see if taking Prilosec for a month makes a difference.

Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
If your red throat is because of the acid reflux you should see a gastrologyst and maybe have an endoscopy done for a better confirmation of the diagnose.
Meanwhile you can use a PPI medication such as Nexium.
