Suggest Medicine For Mild Fever And Frequent Urination

Pretty sure I have UTI--running slight fever, pain, frequent urination. Finished a course of antibiotics two weeks ago, and although I take probiotics every day, it hasn t held this off. Can you suggest something to do until I can get to doctor tomorrow?

Hi,

Based on your description, it appears that the underlying cause for your symptoms could be urinary tract infection. You can take syrup like Citralka for urinary symptoms and Tablet. Paracetamol for fever, which are available over the counter.

Since you give a history of having taken antibiotics two weeks ago, it would be better for you to get treated with an appropriate course of antibiotics after undergoing urine culture and sensitivity test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
