Hallow Dear,
From your history you seem to be 2+ months pregnant.
For the termination of
pregnancy, you have two main options: Medical Method and Surgical Method.
A. Medical Termination of pregnancy is done by two regimes as recommended by WHO. These are safe and effective up to 9 weeks (63) days of pregnancy.
1. Tab. Mifepristone followed after 24-48 hours by Tab. Misoprostol
2. Misoprostol only Regime: Tab. Misoprostol every 3-12 hours upto 3 doses.
Usually the
abortion is completed within 24 hours but not layer than 3 days. It is advised to have a follow up visit to a Gynaecologist after 7 days of the last dose of Misoprostol.
For Pregnancy 9 weeks onwards:
Tab. Mifepristone followed after 36-48 hours by Tab. Misoprostol every 3 hours up to 5 doses. For this admission in the hospital is recommended.
It is advisable to confirm the completeness of abortion by
ultrasonography.
These medicines are prescription medicines and should be taken in appropriate dosage, according to schedule and by prescribed route of administration. These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence in case of failure of these medicines to terminate the pregnancy, it should not be continued; but should then be terminated by evacuation of the
uterus by surgical means.
B. Surgical Methods: These have to be performed in a recognised abortion centre.
1. MVA aspiration
2. Suction evacuation
3. Dilatation and evacuation of the
uterine cavity.
Since you are just above 2 months pregnancy, you can terminate the pregnancy by Medical methods.
Please report to your Gynaecologist ASAP for the prescription of medicines and instruction of taking them.
I hope this helps you.
