Suggest Medication To Shrink Fibroid Causing Heavy Bleeding With Huge Blood Clots During Periods

Hi,iam 39 yrs old. i had my ultrasound done and my fibroid size 45 mmx46mmx47mm.type :subserous fibriod, position :posterior and structure :homogenous. iam having heavy bleeding and passing huge blood clots on my day 2 during mensturation.please suggest me ,what can be done for my fibriods?are there any drugs that shrink fibriod? thamks.

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
There are medicines which can shrink fibroids but all have temporary effect & these fibroids usually regrow once you stop them, in addition there are many side effects that make their long term use almost impossible.
Other thing, a fibroid in sub-serous position which is not indenting the uterine cavity usually do not cause heavy periods, so, there may be some other cause of your heavy periods.
Please consult a Gynecologist for a full evaluation & a specific treatment.
