Suggest Medication For Productieve Cough, Cold And Lung Infection
Hi, have had a it seems lung infection and head cold for about 10 days now coughing a lot and hard where it gives me a headache...coughing up phlegm...green/ brown...haven t been able to visit my doc yet....have some cephlexin with me and amoxicillin at home....are either of these suitable or I need to wait and get another anti from my doctor?
You should go for some blood works, ESR with chest X-ray and complete examination by specialist to arrive at a certain diagnosis.
In my advise, you should see physician rather than taking self treatment by in house available antibiotics like you said amoxycillin or cephalexin although they are good.
You will require oral antibiotics (levofloxacin preferable) with antipyretics, expectorant in syrup formulations with nebulization and steam inhalation frequently in a day.
