Suggest Medication For Itchy And Red Rashes On Thigh

Hi, I had rashes near ankle 2 months ago and i applied chlotrimazole for sometime and it didn t work i consulted a skin doctor and he gave EMODERM+diprovate to apply for 2-3 weeks and visit back... My only fear was this red rash was very little now slowly it has started to spread till thighs and itchness.. First it looks red then after somedays it turns black and this is spreading ... I am applying EMODERM+diprovate from past 2 days ....Any other inputs would help me

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy and red rashes on thigh which could be due to fungal infection of thighs mainly Tinea, as it localizes on body folds and thigh area. It could be due to bacterial infection, allergic reaction or nodular scabies. Need not to worry. I would suggest you not to worry about it. You shroud oral tablets of Terbinafine for 1 week. Apply moderately potent topical steroid of tiamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream twice daily at affected sites.You should visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Take tablet of cetirizine 10 mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.
