Suggest Medication For Gross Hematuria In A 47-year-old Woman

Hi, I am a 47 yr old female. I have gross hematuria and they are trying to figure out what s causing the bleeding. CT scans are clear, cystoscopy tomorrow. Have been having nausea, mild cramping on the left side and food aversions. It s been really difficult to find anything to eat that I enjoy. I can only eat very small amounts at a time. So frustrating. Started Lexapro about three months ago. That s when I started noticing the food aversions. Really want to stay on it though because it is SO much better for me than the Prozac was! Help!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be some urinary bladder related problems like thickened bladder wall and cystitis. Rarely bladder cancer can also cause this symptoms. Do the cystoscopy and MRI scan to look for any bladder pathology.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
