Suggest Medication For Depression Which Is Easily Taken

my boyfriend is suffer from depression, and its gotten pretty bad, he wont go see a therapist, and he can't swallow pills. i've found a few chewable and liquid antideprpessants, but he would rather go the more natural pill type route. Do you know of anything that he would be able to take that would help?

Depression is a common mood disorder. The disorder should be treated with proper anti-depressants. Commonly used antidepressants are SSRIs like Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Sertraline etc. These drugs help in improvement of depressive symptoms.

If we consider natural pills then the choice is limited. These natural things are not supported by proper research studies but subjectively they have been found to useful in some people. Commonly St. John's Wart is used in depression. This is common natural supplement for depression.

Omega-3-Fatty Acids supplements and vitamin B12 supplements also have excellent roles in depression. Diets rich in omega 3 fatty acids like Flex seeds, sardine fish, walnuts, ground nuts etc. These diets help to reduce the symptoms.

Non medicinal treatment like Cognitive therapy has good effects in depression. The therapy helps to reduce abnormal thoughts and cognitive distortions. Consult a psychologist for treatment.
