Suggest Diet For A Toddler Suffering From High Fever

My son is 3 n a half years old. Weighs about 14-15 kg. He has a fever of 102.5. Today is the first day he is having it. He hasn t eaten much at lunch and just wants to rest. He is having regular sips of water though. What sort of food should i give him? Till when is it advisable to wait, before I give him any medicine? I am planning on giving IMOL...7ml every 6hrs if fever persists. Please advise if this dosage is correct .

Hi,

Your dose is okay. You can wait for 72 hours, if fever does not go above or the child does not get some other complaint.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
