Suggest Cause For Inflammation In Spine With Fluids
My brother s last 5 inches of his spine seem to be inflamed. He says fluid is seeping from that area and he doesn t know what could be causing it. He does have scoliosis and back problems. Could it be a fractured sacrum. He also had a hip replacement. Could they be related? Thank you. Linda Sadler
It will help in confirming diagnosis. After confirming diagnosis, it can be treated by surgical exploration and antibiotics for prolonged duration. You should consult spine surgeon for the above. It is unlikely to be related to hip replacement if that area of spine is far from hip. Hope it will help. Thanks. Take care
