Suggest Birth Control Measures While On Antibiotics For Bacterial Vaginosis
I had a vagina infection called bacterial vaginosis, I took strong anti biotics for 5 days I took two a day, when I was off the tablets I had unprotected sex twice but he didnt cum in me, what are the chances of me getting the infection back and how do I prevent this?
First of all, the antibiotics used to treat bacterial vaginosis (BV) will not affect the effectiveness of the birth control pill. You did not state whether you are on the pill or not. Also, bacterial vaginosis not considered an STD so it will not be caused by having intercourse. It involves an imbalance of the bacteria already present in the vaginal area. Ways to promote normal vaginal bacteria include yogurt and probiotics as well as avoiding douches or other vaginal hygiene products.
