Suggest An Alternative Of Lyrica

I had a horrible reaction to Lyrica, and after reading some of the reaction to this drug am reluctant to use. Isn t there something natural that would work just as well or better than Restasis. I have lo platelets and am a Leukemia survivor so think my immune system would be compromised.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Can you please describe which horrible reaction you got from pregabalin (Lyrica)?

As per my knowledge, the side effects usually experienced by patients are weight gain, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation which I think, are not horrible.

Rarely allergic reactions have been seen with its use. If you have this reaction, just stop the medication and seek medical advice as early as possible.

Your treating physician will change the medication if you have suffered from allergic reaction with it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
