Suggest Alternative Medication For Persistent Fever In My 4-month-old Daughter

Hi, My daughter is 4months old and running fever since yesterday after DPT/Polio vaccination. We are using ColPol 0.7ml every 6hours. But still fever is not reducing. Today morning, fever was 98.7F but now fever is 100.3. She s very uneasy since yesterday after vaccination because of pain and fever. Please help.

Hi...Can understand your concern ...As per your query about fever in a 4 months old baby after getting DPT/polio vaccination is that it is normal to get fever after vaccination or shot upto 24-48 hrs..I suggest you to continue giving calpol syrup in appropriate dose as per her body wt according to strengh of syrup(10-15 mg/kg body wt).Beside this you can also give her tapid sponging to relieve temperature..If still temperature doesn'tcomes down I advice you to consult a pediatrician. advice you to consult a pediatrician or if any unusual behaviour or reactionis seen..I hope the information helps you.Take care.
