Suffering Moderately With Acne, Tried Sofradex, Lyramycin, No Help. Take Alcohol, Zarda At Times. Medication ?

Hi, I am 44 years old male, Take alcohol once weekly and eat 3 to 4 zarda pan daily. I am suffering moderately with acne from past 1 year. 3 months back I have visited the dermatologist and after examining me prescribed Sofradex with Lyramycin cream to be applyed by mixing together on the face. But till now I don't find any success even after 3 months. Is it my alcohol or zarda that is effecting my acne not to heel even after medication.

hi and welcome to health care magic.
i appreciate your concern to look good, acne is a multifactorial problem and it heals best under proper medication. alcohol and zarda may affect its healing tendencies.
better results are seen with with chemical treatment like peels,
life style modification helps you better.

General & Family Physician Dr. Nehal Mehta's  Response
hello, thank you for using health care magic,
well sofradex and lyramycin are adequate for topical application.. you can take oral tablets of isotretinoines (vitamin A) .. take oral antibiotic like doxycycline 100mg once a day for 30 days.. also change your diet little.. avoid oily and fatty food.. wash your face around three per day.. avoid pollution ..do not apply any moist cream on face..
alcohol once per week is no big deal..
you can go for chemical peeling.. its little expansive but effective treatment.. in this procedure chemical will be applied to your skin which will remove your old skin slowly and will help in new skin growth
hope this helped you..
