Suggest Medication For Acne

Hi. I m 22 years old girl suffering from acne problem since 4 years. I have taken alot of antibiotics . antibiotics suppress acne for some days and again it started. I had used oral isotritionin but it aggravated my acne problem to high extend n I left it bcz of hypertension. Now help me plzzz. I have acne on my cheeks .red n swollen 5 to 7mm size lump under the skin persist for 2 or 3 weeks n then subside but again elevate n too much painful. I m depress bcz of acne problem. Plz guide me. Can I use isotrin gel for topical use??? Acne will finish or not?? Help me plzz

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have noticed acne since 4 years which occur because of clogging of skin pores by debris and bacteri and infection in them. Need not to worry. You should apply MELALITE XL cream which is combination of hydroquinone, tretinoin and steroid and apply it at night time. I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for acne as well as marks . Apply aloe vera gel at night . If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks .
