Suffering Herpes Simplex Karatitis, Acyclovir Worked Fine. Redness, Pain, Recurrent Watering When Steroids Used. Will It Be Ok ?

i am suffering from herpes simplex karatitis and i was okay with acyclovir ointment,refresh eye drops,vigamox eye drops and oral acyclovir 400mg tid for 5 days.on the 8th day 0f my disease and since the corneal stain became nil i was put on steroid drops by my ophthalmologist.after 4 days the redness.pain and watering recurred.steroid drops are discontinued immediately and once again i am on acyclovir.vigamox and atropine drops.will i be okay?am i on the right track now?will my vision restored?it is now 16th day of my infection.

Hi, you have got a good treatment so far, but it appears that you have an secondary bacterial infection over the previous infection, I advise you to see the perevious doctor for diagnosis and continuation of the treatment.
I to my patient with such infection prescribes erythrocin 500 mg along with the rest of the treatment. Thank you.
